They say necessity is the mother of invention, but I think whimsy may be the father...this is my invention for Illustration Friday. It's a stocking stuffer. *_*
It's 8-1/2x11, collage and ink on cardstock. To see other Art Everyday Month participants, click here.
Sorry I missed another Sunday Scribblings, but actually I was inspired a while back by Xegbp (otherwise known as Heather), to write about my archnemesis, towards the end of this post. I'll try to jump back in to scribbling next Sunday. Unless I'm working on my next new invention, the tree decorator :)
Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. How can four days go by so quickly? Sheesh, if time's going to keep flying by this fast, I better wish you a merry Christmas now before it's already here. I should have spent my weekend inventing time travel instead.
Happy Monday, everyone.

Oh! the imagination behind this! I wish I had you around when son and I were trying to think up contraptions for science class! Brought a smile to my face. Thanks!
And oh, by the way, the owl you see in my torso? I can see it in the picture but not in the actual piece. Thanks for naming her!

Your invention would no doubt intrigue Mr. da Vinci! Well done, you!

I love the way you invented this... it all works together really well.. how did you get it line up so neatly!
I'm ashamed to say what my first thought was when I first read "stocking stuffer"... but then I don't have children... ;-)
