-Some of the lavender bags I made for Valentine's Day looked a little plain, at first. So I decided to embellish some of them.
-It had been ages since I'd sewn or embroidered anything (I couldn't even find my embroidery hoop. Still don't know where it is...).
-I didn't have patterns, so I just sort of freehanded it, on a little piece of the flannel (just in case, so I wouldn't mess up the whole bag) then stitched the flannel piece on when it worked out ok. All things considered, I thought this bee turned out surprisingly well.
-I loved the way it turned out so much, I made a coordinating tissue pouch.
-I made a bag for just everybody in the family, trying to use their personal color preferences. The bee one was for my younger daughter.
-She's expecting.
-The grandgirls will have a new little cousin.
-I'll be a grandma (again :)
-There are other things I still haven't finished - but now all I can think of are the bajillion baby projects I want to make all at once...
