We've passed 40 days and 40 nights on the AW path. Today is actually Day 43 - wow, this is going by pretty quickly! Here are some suggestions from the Artist's Date Book for Day 43 through Day 50:
Photograph your pet. (The AWDB doesn't say this, but you could probably photograph a friend's pet, if you're petless).
Make a valentine any time of year (fortunately, with us starting on January 1st, this coincides nicely!)
Take a pottery class.
Play solitaire.
Burn a scented candle. (This would go nicely with Valentine's Day, too!)
Go pet a horse.
Sing in the shower.
Take a dance class.
If none of these strike your fancy, fit your budget or are available, here are some from last week that I forgot to post (ok, I know you're getting tired of the color-change blog, so I'll go back to B&W):
Compliment 5 strangers.
Learn to make papier-mache` (I still haven't figured out how to make the little accent marks on the computer)
Experiment with a new food.
Write a prayer.
Design your own deck of cards.
We made breakfast burritos using soy chorizo - they were great! Tasted like the real deal (even better, because the chorizo (a kind of Mexican sausage) came without that whole cholesterol/guilt thing!) And there are grocery clerks, gas station attendants, postal employees, and anonymous pedestrians who hopefully feel more self-confident.
Still hope to get to the prayer-writing and card-deck-designing - I've been busy making Valentine's. Have a happy Valentine's Day*, everyone!
*Couldn't resist one last color change! Holidays make me goofy...
