Holidays make my inner child hyperactive - I want to do everything! Everywhere! All at once! I'm like a squirrel in the road - running one way, then another. No, back over that way...Oh, wait, what about over there! No, no, I think the other direction's better...
I want to dye Easter eggs like her! I want to make a fairythimble theater and bunny bowling (I wish I could remember where I first read about The Toymaker - was it you, Snowbear? You always have something cool...or was it you, Vicki , with all your craftiness and great links....Whoever you are, I thank you! It has too many fun, free, cool things for kids! Including my inner kid, who wants to use up my tiny stash of cardstock - printing out EVERYTHING!) I want to make cute softies like Lynn's for my grandgirlies, too.
I want to join in Sunday Scribblings and write about my childhood...Laini and Megg are inspiring me again - Imelda already posted her submission and it's beautiful!
Oh wait! What about Favorite Things Saturday - I always love doing that one, and seeing what Jill likes, or what Marilyn's favorite thing is...And I haven't been keeping up with Mixed Media Memoirs or Contagious Creativity, at all the past couple of weeks; I love Melba and Kat's ideas...Nor have I done Illustration Friday yet! Spotted - I had something I was going to do with polka dots; where did I put that? I wish I was as organized as Lizardek. Maybe I should join Flylady like this funny lady mentioned doing; I wish I had her knack for cool banners...but I can't even master Typelists so I can put a link to Alexandra or Kara's or Elizabeth's or Samantha's or Diane's up on a blogroll...which I totally would if I could!
But I can't even decide what to wear tomorrow - how I empathize with Lorilynn about clothing issues. She'd be on that typelist, too. So would Maria. Everyone here would...and probably several others, too - but I'm exhausted already and I still haven't really done anything yet; except visit a whole lot of wonderful people that have come to mean so much to me - You!
Happy Easter to all you wonderful people!
Now I'm just going to sit here in the middle of the road, with all my eggs in one basket; trying to decide which way to go; and wait for the next car to come along...
Postscript: Late-breaking newsflash - This just in from my friend Jenny - who doesn't have a blog yet (tsk-tsk!) - her artwork is on one of the covers being considered for Somerset Studio's summer issue (actually, she tells me it's on 2 of the 3 being considered - but you can only really see it well on one - the one with the black & purple background) - and they're collecting votes for which cover to choose. She (& I) would love it if you'd vote here for your favorite (don't you just love the color purple? No? Well, how about pink? Ok, ok - you choose; just vote, ok? Thanks!!)
Is it only holidays that make your inner child hyper-active? When I read your post I realized, 'hey, you're describing me every single day!' Truly ... there is always so much I want/need/have to do every single minute that my mind is usually almost always racing (... or frustrated that I can't get to everything).
How cool for your friend. I voted for the black & purple cover!

Happy Belated Easter Tinker - you are too cute! I know exactly what you mean by going this way and wanting to go that way and basically becoming frenzied. It's my life a lot of days!

Easter is so much less Easter-y with my kids all grown up. Ross did have to hunt for his Easter basket on Sunday morning, but we don't do our own egg coloring and hunt anymore. I guess I have to wait for grandchildren, but that will be awhile.
