I'm marvelling tonight (as you probably are - "2 posts in one day, what's got into her?"); what I'm marvelling at is "How the heck did 10 years go by so fast?" And I couldn't let the day go by unremarked.
Ten years ago today, these wedding bells were ringing for my favorite couple - on the hottest June 29th on record (I've been trying to look it up, because there's now some dispute amongst us all as to what the exact temperature was - each family member has a different opinion, anywhere from 105 F. to 110 F. - that last guesstimate is mine! But then I was mother of the bride, so I was already feeling like I was in the hot seat.)
Their first little home was on the top floor of this house. Actually, it had been the attic - converted to a studio apartment. The top windows of the round tower? That was their dining room. To visit, we'd climb 2 flights of stairs, then one last little set of steps up to where we knocked on the door - the trapdoor in the ceiling! It was a magical first home. I thought I'd post this photo memory for them as a little anniversary surprise.
Happy Tenth Anniversary my lovelies!
So cool that you would post this for them. Happy anniversary to them. Ninnie(Terri)
