This is the view this morning on the way to work:
This is the view on the way home-don't worry, this one got put out pretty quickly:
I don't know what the Universe is trying to tell me, but I think I better figure it out pretty quickly!
I know you think I'm nuts for still trying to find the humor in all this - but it's the only thing keeping me semi-sane right now!
(Don't worry, they got this one put out really quickly this time - I'll try to get an after-pic tomorrow).
Odd... and to add to your global warning theme...
we've just had the hottest July day in Britain since records began... and you probably know what we are like about recording the weather...
and I'm not good at coping in heat... at all... yuk!

So scary! I remember back in the 90s seeing the Oakland Hills fire in the distance, the whole sky was this eerie orange. Hope all's well!

Ohmygod, Tinker, I had no idea you were so close to the fires down there!!

We're OK guys! Thanks for your concern - they got this out REALLY fast compared to the other ones - they were ALL OVER IT - when I clicked that picture, I was pulled over, just off the offramp, cause I could hear the firetrucks coming. It really helped that that our humidity's gone up quite a bit - so I'm trying really hard not to whine about that anymore - I'll take a sauna over a wildfire anyday!

That's scary, being so close to the fires. From London I saw reports of the San Bernandino fires - just shocking how quickly they spread and all is lost. You're right, a sense of humour is essential these days! xo
