This week's totally optional Poetry Thursday prompt is "food." It's too hot to cook; too hot to think; too hot to eat anything but this....the only thing that comes to mind at the moment is the little ditty my Papa would say, each and every time we had this dessert:
I scream,
You scream -
Click on this little pic to read Kukla and Ollie's ode to ice cream
(Fran, not pictured; I guess they eliminated the middle Fran : )
How can I possibly
choose just one of 31 flavors?
To confine myself to only one dip!
Pralines 'n cream
butter pecan
mint chocolate chip;French vanilla bean
mocha almond fudge
cookies 'n cream.Pistachio
Cherry Garcia
Neapolitan;Rocky Road
Spumoni
Chocolate chip cookie dough
Oops -
There goes a drip!
I guess I'll make do
With only two scoops...
Now I'll make like a banana, and split :)
Very cute. You know it's hot when even ice cream has lost its appeal. We reverted to popsicles a few weeks ago. ;)

Love this - and ice cream! Pralines and cream, the fave. Although homemade ice cream from childhood days - that aqua blue wooden churn packed with ice - was probably the best. What a summer treat your post is! xo

Ice cream is all I've wanted for the last three days. Vanilla first, last, and always. This was fun!
