Here's the done doodle, Cosmic Quilt, so named by my husband, but I liked it (since I'd already been thinking of it as quilt-like, and some areas were inspired by fabric prints. If I were handier - and had the time, I think an abstract quilt would be fun). This one is 8-1/2x11, colored pencil on paper.
At some later date, I may print it out again, and try it with a different media. The colored pencils (some Prismacolor; some Aquarelle) were fun, though it took awhile to get enough color intensity to please me (and if I had more time, I'd still be working on that). I'd like to see it with some more intense colors one of these days. That's the wonderful convenience of computers - when I have the time and desire to do it again, it's only a click of the mouse away! Did anyone else do a doodle today?
Click here , to find more artwork for Art Everyday Month. I may be back later with another post before the end of the day (because today's special!), but I wanted to show you the done doodle for now. Doodle-loo, I mean tootle-loo, for now!
(I know that one was terrible, but sometimes I just cannot resist the urge. OK, a lot of the time, I can't resist the urge! Is there a self-help group for pun addiction?)
I love this cosmic quilt! Lots of bits of it really draw me and then I look at the whole and get sucked into something else. Like that colourful jigsaw or the music and piano keys or the all-knowing eye... If you hadn't already got a name I'd've suggested Cosmic Hippo... though I'm not sure why!

Hey Girl. Are you really doing Art Everyday AND NaNoWriMo at the same time?
Geesh. I've been struggling with just the word count. Yikes!!!!
More impressed with you than ever. Gotta get back to work.
As a quilter myself, love the quilt-like aspect of today's piece.

I've borrowed some of this image to link to you in my pictorial blogroll. I think it looks great - much more fun than the usual list of worded links.
Please let me know if you'd rather I didn't use your work this way.
