Even at night, in the deepest, darkest forest - the flickering light of a firefly or the twinkling of starlight can be glimpsed through the dense tree branches.
Even in the deepest, darkest cavern, down below the earth, there can be found the glow of phosphorous; with the slightest glimmer of a flashlight, the twinkling of crystals and diamonds formed by the pressure of the earth, rivulets of water, undergroud springs can be seen sparkling in the dark.
Even at the deepest, darkest bottom of the ocean, an anglerfish dangles a tiny phosphorescent globe from an odd antennae-like protrusion on his head; it's little glowing orb swaying like the lantern of some absurd night watchman of the sea, as he hopes to attract his dinner to him.
Because of these, I like to believe this holds true elsewhere: that even in the deepest, darkest corners of the blackest human heart, lives a little glowing soul, with a spark of hope - for love, for happiness. I think if you look for it hard enough, you may find it. If you do, maybe then, if you cup it tenderly in your hands, fan it gently, and nurture it, the ember can grow - till even the shadows can't hide it anymore.

It is that very need for love and acceptance that causes people to commit the darkest of acts, if only they were to receive what they were seeking in the first place would so many lives be spared perhaps. This is such a wonderful "scribbling" AND photo!

Hi tink,
Love the whole piece of writing, but especially that ending!
Is this artwork you created? It is cool- that dripping, the texture and colors.

This is gorgeous. Isn't nature amazing that even in dark inhospitable something beautiful can be found. And the human heart too.

oh now I really love this one - I was looking for light - surrounded by wet sloppy April snow - yes the water is there - but the LIGHT - the light in the dark was calling my name
