tie the hamsters tiny little paws up with rubber bands and bury him in the corner. Set your Parent voice in control and do not let him stir no matter how much he begs. Works for me. =]

I think many of us are pushing ourselves to get it all out and now it has been a week or so and we are realy going to have to reveal, to dig deep and start telling our truths.
I am liking this though for myself and witnessing others...getting past the surface to something more.

Have a discussion with your inner over-acheiver, and make hamster-care her responsibility! By the time she gets the hamster out of his cage and scrubs it clean, replaces his bedding, scrubs all food containers, feeds the hamster organicly grown-preservative free hamster food, bathes him, towel-drys him gently, takes him to the vet, has all of his shots updated, has blood taken and various tests run, talks to the vet about correct hamster care, puts the hamster in her pocket as she goes into the library to check out books about hamster care, drives back home, and puts the hamster back in his cage...

The hamster will not have the energy to spin on his wheel. (and will probably sleep for a few days straight, much to the concern of your inner over-acheiver!)
