Just taking a quick break to peek in, and say Hi. The stats as of last night:
Number of Words Written: 3,443
Number of Pages: Eight, single-spaced (just now realized I hadn't thought to set it to double-space yet)
Number of Times Revised: Three teensy-tiny ones - just adding a sentence or two, not taking any away.
Number of Times Wanted to Revise the Whole Thing Already: officially recognized - 12 - though the unofficial count could be as high as 300
Number of Cups of Tea Consumed: 10 (4 on day one, six *6!* on day two)
Number Pieces of LeftOver Halloween Candy Consumed as Rewards for Not Revising: 4 miniature peanut butter cups, 1 miniature dark hershey bar, 1 miniature Mr. Goodbar, 4 hershey's kisses, 2 miniature butterfingers - over this 2 day time period - ahem, thus far...
Number of Pounds Gained: Unknown at this time
I think I need a better reward system.
New Plan: For every 2 hours I write and don't revise, I can read one blog post or check here for comments. No pressure - but just thought I'd let you know, I'm making you my reward/support system: the thin line between me looking at this screen - or me looking at the candy dish like this...
:-)
Oh, and for anyone else doing NaNoWriMo, or if you just like to write, if you haven't already read these, Laini has some great writing tips here....
Or you could always woo the writing muse, with Patry's literary blues pie.
Tinker,
I just read the stuff from Laini and its really good. I am going to post it over on our writers blog. Thanks,
Kate

Good luck with your writing, if it's as humerous as your posts you're in good shape!

You are just hilarious - you and the candy count! That's one good thing about there being no Halloween candy (other than at the chocolate shops) in France - I can't eat all those miniatures. I'm glad you're making progress. As for revising, sometimes it's good to just keep writing and revise later, when it's done. Don't stress - just keep writing! xoxox

Dear Tinker,
I like your reward system thingy. I'm going to absorb your thoughts into my soul. BTW
Did you shave your beard yet? Guaranteed to remove at least 1/2 a lb.!
Happy writing,
Constance

You go girl! So you like to revise? I'd never revise given the chance - which is why I so love blogging...it's so immediately off the top of my head. I can't believe you have to revise - not the way you write. When this is all over, do you share?
