Into another garden - almost another world...
Some gardens are like that - a world of their own...
Like entering another land. You might even want to leave a trail of breadcrumbs to find your way back, as we go wandering off through the fairy forest of ferns,
Past the secret garden cottage door,
Turn left at the magenta azaleas...
to find the gold...
...fish, that is - gold, silver, orange and red...
If you turn to the right, you'll find the deep blue...
beside the - could it be? A castle?
With all the lions guarding it there, it just might be...
Actually, some people (I won't say who), declared this must be Narnia, because wasn't that Azlan there?
But then some people have been reading a lot of C.S. Lewis lately. Also, a lot of other stories, since they were searching for a troll under the bridge, and looking to see if the seven dancing princesses were around here, too ...
Or if maybe Alice had tea here, while the knave of hearts had been painting the roses red again. Just wondering...
Wondering if mermaids were ever to be found in the pool, by the light of the moon...
It's one of those kinds of places, you know - one where you could almost imagine anything might happen, as you meander along the twists and turns...
...hopscotch past the roses, over the stepping stones ...
peeking in all the secret little nooks and crannies, where fairies might be hiding...
Or were they hiding in plain sight, right under our noses all the time?
Standing still as statues...
Something to ponder, as we finally find the gate - to enter back into our world...
~ perhaps ~
Hmm...perhaps - we'll never know...
Hope you had a happy first day of May - this was meant to be published on the first - but circumstances delayed it by a few hours...
Was this part of the garden tour you took? What a stunningly beautiful garden! Can you imagine living there and having access to that every day?! Gawd! It would be like living in heaven.

where IS this place? I want it! I especially want that cottage door with all the stuff around it. Well, I might get some stones this year, I guess that's a start on the stone path...If I lived close to that I'd LIVE IN IT!!!!

What a gorgeous garden. I truly could get lost in there looking for faeries...someone would come along and wonder what that old lady was doing in the bushes. LOL

Wow, you make me want to garden! As it is, I was born with a black thumb!!! Now if I could manage to sew a garden together I'd have a better chance of being successful at it. xo, Monica ;)

I love the idea of a garden room, but my yard is just not suited to it. I do love my garden, though, and it does transport me to a world of peace and beauty and bliss...
