In catching up this week, I found I'd been challenged by a couple of bloggers - Liv, who I only just met through OWOH, included me in her challenge to find the sixth photo in the sixth folder of my picture files and post about it. So that's the photo here. This was one of the rooms filled with art at a Women's History Month art show I participated in at Cal State University, three years ago. I'm glad the sixth photo from the sixth folder was at least not too terribly blurry nor of something like my cat's ear, since I always mean to go back and delete photos that didn't work out- yet somehow I rarely seem to actually do that...
Here's where I'll jump on into the next challenge, posed by Alison - which may take awhile. It's to list a 100 things about me. I'm not sure if I could think of 10 things that I haven't already shared here, over the last 3 years, but I'll give it a try...no promises as to how interesting these answers might be though...Forgive me if I'm repeating anything I've already told you, before...You can always just come back to read them later, if you're having trouble sleeping. Reading 100 things about me, might be more soporific than counting sheep - and, on the bright side, less addictive than a sleeping pill...
1. Perhaps sleeping comes to mind, because some people might think I have insomnia. I prefer to think of it as just being a nightowl or morning-challenged.
2. Even if I'm bone tired during the day, I usually feel wide awake as soon as the sun goes down.
3. Maybe I'm a vampire?
4. Naw - can't stand the sight of blood.
5. Or maybe I was just born in the wrong time zone...
6. I was born at night -
7. At home. Apparently, I was in a hurry.
8. According to my mom, the Wonderful World of Disney was on at the time.
9. I probably was in such a rush, because I didn't want to miss anything.
10. That was one of my favorite shows as a kid.
11. I still remember the first time I went to Disneyland as a toddler.
12. I remember being so impressed with all the flowers planted to form the shape of Mickey's silhouette.
13. Despite the rest of the family's assurances that there were even greater wonders inside the park, I didn't want to go any farther. I thought the Mouse garden was what we had come to see, and I wasn't done looking at it yet.
14. I like to take my time when looking at things. I don't like to be rushed.
15. Though I often find myself rushing around anyway.
16. But if it's my idea to hurry things up, somehow that's a different thing altogether ;-)
17. Excuse me a moment - I'm feeling a hot flash coming on...be back in a fliash...
18. Despite hot flashes, I'm still glad I live where the winters are mild.
19. I discovered I don't 'do' cold weather, when we lived on the Oklahoma-North Central Texas border, during a couple of colder winters there.
20. I would have discovered that a lot earlier about me, if I'd stayed in Wyoming a month or so longer, but I'd already been discovering I didn't care much for humid summers, and didn't hang around long enough.
21. I thought it was pretty though.
22. I do like seeing new places - though I also discovered over those years, I was better suited to armchair traveling, than actual traveling.
23. I get airsick, carsick, seasick and homesick.
24. I usually like to drive though. I don't get carsick as often, if I'm behind the wheel.
25. Maybe I just need to learn to fly a plane myself, then...
26. I've dreamed I was flying a plane befre, and I liked it. At least, I did in the dream...I was flying at sunset, and the sky looked so pretty with all the colors.
27. I often dream in color. Though sometimes it's in black and white, or sepia tones. I think it's up to the cinematographer's discretion...
29.. The other night I dreamed I had parachuted out of a plane - but had amnesia about it, because I didn't remember having done it. In the dream, my daughter was showing me a picture of me skydiving out of the plane, while she told me that it wasn't that unusual for people to block out the memory of their first time skydiving. Wonder what that was all about...
29. Dreams fascinate me, even when they puzzle me. Actually, I find them all the more fascinating when they're not easily deciphered...I like the sheer mystery and absurdity of them. It's like having your own private Fellini film festival.
30. That makes me sound much more worldly and sophisticated than I am. But I like the alliteration in that phrase, so I'm leaving it in.
31. I'm thrillled that I've actually even seen two of the films nominated for the Oscar this year. Most years, I'm lucky if I've seen one. I don't watch much TV, especially awards shows - but I usually look forward to watching that one.
32. Though I'll probably have to just glean the results afer the event, since we have a family function on Oscar night.
33. I'm finding that I can only talk about myself so long, before I start putting myself to sleep. Maybe I'll finish the other two thirds of the list later on. Never know when I or someone else out there, might need to read themselves to sleep. ;-)
Have a happy weekend!
33 and more to go! I was going to only type "whew" and be on my way. But I had to sign in, then I had to sign in again, then I had to sign in one more time, and now it's really, really "whew!" xoxoxo

Too funny! Never boring or redundant here. Know what you mean about saving even the blurry photos, always thinking I'll get back and clean them out later. For fun I'm gonna go look for my 6th pic in my 6th folder now.
Love ya!

Oh, those challenges. -- especially those that want to know about me. I've answered so many that I've finally decided to stop. I much prefer reading those that others post.

What an interesting photo.
But what is this about folders... must be a microsoft thing...
I love the idea of you as a toddler wanting to really absorb that garden!

A hundred?! I struggle enough when I get tagged with the bog-standard six things one!
(I like the image of a little Tinker besotted with flowers outside of Disneyland.)

I read them from the bottom up...I guess I wanted to see if you really had 100 things :)
lol...it's less addicting then sleeping pills!

More interesting facts about you, Terri! I was a Disney fan too, although I never made it to Disneyland. The closest I came to the "theme park" idea was Six Flags over Texas. I really should go to Disneyland Paris - my daughter and her friends went, as teenagers. And I'm a night owl too.

I also did the random picture from the random folder thing. Interesting but not my best photo.

this was good! i love dreams and trying to figure them out too.

I am so impressed! Was that all stream of consciousness? Great stuff - especially the dream and skydiving and not remembering. I've never dreamed about skydiving. I definitely would remember. =]

Well how bad am I that I have not stopped in for a visit in way too long. I never even got to all the OWOH blogs. I've missed you so I HAD to see what you were up to. I read all 33....I think it's interesting to do it the way you are doing it...sort of a self stream of conciousness, it flowed together.
I always thought I would sky dive one day....the older I got the less brave I became.
Can't wait to read the rest of your list!
I wish you did travel though, we must meet someday, somewhere!
XOXOXOXO

Hi,
Your list is fascinating. "Morning challenged" moi is actually reading this about 11 a.m. instead of 2 a.m. Yes, it's me. I HAD to venture out this morning in much more than my pjs to photograph our snowstorm.
BTW, if you've tried to access my site, it's not "private" or "inaccessible" as some have emailed me. Long story. Bottomline: blog link is not there, but I still want to visit friends until that is sorted out!

I am like you being an armchair traveler. I can travel around the close area, but don't do well on long trips to faraway places.
