A big thank you to everyone who entered my One World One Heart drawing. Everyone who entered is a winner in my book. That may sound like I'm just blowin' smoke - but I'm sincere. Let me tell you why I thinkYOU were the truly generous ones:
Taking the time to leave a comment, for the chance to win something that was so - I'm going to use the first word that's popping into my head, though I know it's not quite the word I'm looking for -- so ephemeral...For something that's not really so much a physical prize but more of a concept - a small donation to the American Red Cross, that would give a little something to someone else in the world who is truly in need. I can't begin to tell you how much that touches my heart when I think about that. Others might think leaving a comment's not such a big deal, it just takes a moment of your time - but time is precious. I know 113 of you could have chosen to not spend your time that way - you could have clicked on by, gone immediately on to any of over a thousand other participating blogs where you had a chance at winning a more tangible gift. I read and was touched by each supportive comment. Thank you. It's always good to be reminded of the many truly caring and giving people around the planet. One world, one heart, indeed.
And thank you ringmaster Lisa for rounding up this wild magic carpet ride and making so much possible for so many!
Without further ado, the random generator has done its job and the winner of my giveaway is Miss Kool-Aid! Congratulations Sophie! I've just sent an e-mail, and will make the donation as soon as I get your last name, and a little more tangible thank you will also go out when I hear back from you with your address.
And tomorrow - oops, just saw it's well after midnight, can't believe I'm so late with this - but later today, when it feels like day - I'll show you the OWOH prize I just won earlier - and amazingly, already received!
how Uber Kool
