With Six, You Get Parker Rolls

I have a lot to be thankful for - family, friends, home, plenty to eat - I could go on and on (and I know I usually do), but most everyone's busy today, so I'll save the rest of those things for my journal and my thoughts at the table, a little later...

I do want to say this to you here, though: Thank you.

Somehow it seems fitting that this year, my blog's anniversary (six years?! already?), falls on Thanksgiving Day. Today I'm reminded to give thanks for this little piece of cyberspace to play in - but most of all, for those of you who pop in for a visit. It really wouldn't be the same around here without you.

Thank you for your inspiration, your kind words, your time, your friendship. For not giving up on me,  when I'm forgetful. For egging me on, when I need a nudge. For holding my hand, when I'm a nervous nellie. For laughing with me (and putting up with me), when I'm being silly. Thanks for it all.

Thanks for the memories...

I feel that Thanksgiving is one of the festivals we really ought to import to the UK... the nearest we have is the church's Harvest Festival but its not a national celebration... and not celebrated by many...
