Every year for eight years now, I've taken you along on the garden tour in our little town. Though I am late with it this year, midsummer's eve seems like the perfect time to stroll through gardens, as the long day's shadows stretch into the night.
This time of year sets my imagination running free...
Enchantments abound on this eve. If you look into the water, whose reflection might you see? Could it be - do you suddenly seem to have a pair of wings?
One never knows what the fairies may be up to on such a night. What games they might play -
or what sort of creatures and fantasies may come to light...
and watch closely. You never know who or what you might see!
Perhaps a pomegranate or a passion flower --
Is any of it real? Or a trick of light and shadows, done with mirrors...
Or is it all nothing but -
Oh I should love to tiptoe through this garden and delight in all of the surprises.

What a pleasant garden. I wish I had this in my back yard. Thanks for taking me along. xo
